About Simon Marshall on House Party Radio
Each week Simon produces and presents 2 hours of his favourite old skool, anthems and throwbacks. Plus he'll play the best in brand new dance music. If you love dance music, then you'll love Weekend Anthems.
From a very early age Simon always had an interest in radio. From waking up at 4am to listen to the start-up on radio 1 to the day his Dad took him to an open day at BBC Radio Sheffield. The rest they say after that is history!!! Simon moved down south to Bedford and at the age of 14 he got involved with his local hospital radio station. In December 1998, Simon got an offer that he couldn't turn down!
Simon's commercial radio career launched at the age of 19 when he joined B97 Chiltern FM in Bedford. From there he went on to present shows for Mercia FM, Wyvern FM, Northants 96, Hereward FM, Q103 and Star Radio in Cambridge. Whilst working for the GWR/GCAP group, Simon also presented some overnight weekend shows across 'The Mix' network. In 2005 Simon decided to say goodbye to full-time radio and start a career with the NHS ambulance service. Needless to say that radio is in Simon's blood and he'll never quite give it up yet!
Today, you can hear Simon on stations including MKFM in Milton Keynes, All Oldies Radio and Atmosphere Radio in Portsmouth, Brighton and Glasgow.
Simon is also a DJ and event host and has compared for the Bedford Park Concerts in 2019. He's been a regular host for the MK Job Show in Milton Keynes as well as hosting some charity fun runs and dog jogs at Willen Lake in Milton Keynes. In 2017 Simon hosted the Santa Dash in Ely. In 2018 Simon was asked to DJ on the Dance Music Stage at the Bedford River Festival.
