About Jepo on House Party Radio
Marc started DJ-ing as a hobby through his love of dance/house music when he decided to buy his first set of turntables for fun. After throwing a few house parties as an accomplished bedroom DJ it convinced his friends that it would be a good idea for him to enter a DJ competition at a local small size venue, he did it for a laugh and ended up winning it.
His professional DJ career started here.
Marc started as a warm-up DJ at Creation nightclub in Stoke-on-Trent with a 3000 person capacity, which hosted many big nights & huge artists, he worked there for about 1 year.
Marc then decided to move to Tenerife in 2003/4 to do a summer in a holiday resort, (one summer away then turned into him staying there for 8 years!). Marc got his first residency on the terrace at Tramps, playing funky vocal house to the front of the club and gained a huge following for his individual style. Through the years the club changed dramatically, new rooms were created and he progressed playing to larger crowds, and his house style variety broadened to cover many genres of the music style. In 2007 Marc was promoted to Main Arena DJ playing to massive crowds and playing alongside many huge DJ's, act's, brands etc, such as Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Hed Kandi, Lisa Lashes, Anne Savage, Dave Pearce, Fergie, Tall Paul, Marco V, Sander Van Doorn, Kutski, Clubland, Trevor Nelson, Gatecrasher, Godskitchen, Ratpack and many many more.
Marc's highlight so far, and memory for him that will never be forgotten was Radio 1's 6 weeks of summer, a long weekend with live broadcasts (Fri, Sat & Sun) and huge artists at the club for the duration. He felt very proud to be playing a big part in the success of it.
Towards the end of 2009 Marc launched his own night every Friday night at Tramps called "Friday Night Fusion" involving various guest DJ's playing alongside him, which kick-started "2wisted Fusion" - A collaboration of anything house/dance with the support of LooLoo:MC.
For 2010 DJ Jepo was nominated for the Tenerife Entertainment Awards for best club DJ & lauched his own website www.djjepo.com.
In April 2011 DJ Jepo took on a new challenge and residency at the brand new Joyce Club in Playa de Las Americas in Tenerife, as well as doing exclusive gigs. DJ Jepo also hosted his own weekly radio show every wednesday from 8pm-10pm (GMT) on Galaxy FM 91.4 & 102.5 FM all across the Canary Islands or on www.galaxyfm.es.
After being in Tenerife for 8 years entertaining thousands of clubbers and holiday makers, Marc returned to the UK for a 2 month period for a long break. During this time he was approached to play at many venues across the country, including Tao in Norwich, Bed (Gatecrasher) in Watford, Lava Ignite in Oxford, and the world famous Pacha in London. After the break in the UK, Marc then got offered a residency for the huge global brand, Gatecrasher.
Now a resident DJ for Gatecrasher playing in many venues throughout the UK and potentially worldwide on a weekly basis, the newest chapter for his DJ career is now in full flow.
Brand new for summer 2012 "2wisted Fusion" was launced in Ibiza at the awesome Play 2 Nightclub in San Antonio. This is a huge stepping stone for the brand that is being managed by Marc's good friend, and DJ (from Tenerife who works the summer season in Ibiza) Grant Collins. Together they are pushing the nights that are held every Monday night, and flying over guest DJ's from around the globe to be apart of the action and to promote the brand further.
